Incorporated in Florida on July 28, 1997 as Toups Technology Licensing, Inc. (TTL). The name was changed to EarthFirst Technologies, Inc. in June 2000.
TTL was comprised of three operating divisions with operations in Largo, Florida, Claremore, Oklahoma and Garden City, Kansas. The manufacturing and environmental products divisions were responsible for several technological advancements, which have contributed to EarthFirst’s current business activities and knowledge base.
The Manufactured Products Division was responsible for:
- BORS Lift™, a device that increases production and decreases the cost of producing oil in stripper wells, or relatively low volume oil wells;
- Brounley RF Technologies, TTL's electronics manufacturing subsidiary that makes radio frequency power generators for aerospace, military, industrial and advanced communications applications;
- TTL Manufacturing, which provides production, metal fabrication, machining and a wide variety of precision welding services for internally manufactured products, other TTL Divisions and outside customers;
- Tunnel Bat™, a mechanized vehicle used to clean out water drainage culverts.
The Environmental Solutions Division developed:
- PCE™, a waste treatment process that handles liquid and solid hydrocarbon-based waste, and produces Phoenix777™;
- HPDD™, the process that produces AquaFuel™ and renders industrial and other hydrocarbon-based waste inert;
- Magnegas™, the process that uses carbon suspended in hydrocarbon-based industrial waste or sewage to produce a gas similar to AquaFuel™ while neutralizing the waste;
- Alternative Fuel Products features three unique clean-burning, high-performance fuel gasses derived from its waste processing technologies:
- AquaFuel™, Phoenix777™, and Magnegas™.
EarthFirst has shifted its focus from manufacturing operations to the development and commercialization of environmental technology, based in part on a close relationship with the Turner Industries Group. Turner Industries is a privately owned company with multiple divisions of industrial entities providing specialized services to Petrochemical, Chemical, Refining, Energy, Power Generation, Pulp & Paper, and other related industries. Turner Industries in contracted by EarthFirst to provide manufacturing support for the Company.
